Who we are           

TaC – Together against Cybercrime International is a non-profit making civil society anti-cybercrime organisation established in France and working at local, national, European and international levels.
TaC International works in the field of cybercrime/cybersecurity and child online protection and advises different entities on cybersecurity strategies. TaC is also actively involved in Internet governance issues by stimulating discussion on the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) by vulnerable people and initiating debate in the format of youth and teenager dialogue.

Gérard Becht

Honorary President

Mr Gérard Becht has more then 40 years of extensive experience in the field of law and the litigation process in France and in Europe. He is a former Secretary General and the Board Director of the Mines de Potasses d’Alsace (MDPA). He is Chevalier de Mérite Civil (Order of Civil Merit of France).

Prof. Dr. Eduard Yurchenko

President & Board Member

Prof. Dr. Yurchenko is a Professor of Physical Chemistry and author and co-author of a number of scientific publications. He is a recognised specialist in catalysis. He has given frequent lectures at the world’s leading universities. Prof. Yurchenko is interested in the use of ICTs in molecular spectroscopy methods of investigation of organic and inorganic compounds. He divides his life between the United States and Europe.

Yuliya Morenets

Founder & Representative, Board Chair

Yuliya entered the world of ICT and the Internet in 2006, and during the following years she accumulated extensive experience in the field of policy development and legal analysis in telecommunications and the Internet in developed and developing countries. An expert on cybercrime and cybersecurity, Yuliya, is author or co-author of a number of regulatory texts in different countries. She regularly advises governments and private sector entities on cybersecurity strategies.

Prof. Dr. Gilberto Martins de Almeida

Co-founder & Vice-President, Board Member

Gilberto is a founder of the Law firm MARTINS DE ALMEIDA – ADVOGADOS, established in 1996, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, specialises in computer and Internet law, and on legal aspects of information security, legal compliance, and risk management, with Brazilian and international clientele.
He is a consultant for international organisations, and teaches and lectures on Internet law in Brazil and abroad.

Dipl. Ing. Irene Yurchenko

Co-founder & Strategic Advice, Board Member

Mrs Yurchenko is a strategy advisor for TaC and is its artistic soul. She has more then 25 years of professional experience as a public and private housing architect. Today she specialises in illustration and painting. She is an active ICT user.

Nicolas Denner

Work with SMEs & Board Member

Mr Denner has extensive experience of work with SMEs and the development of communication campaigns for the private sector. He is passionate about ICTs and the Internet. He helps TaC to develop and implement its capacity-building programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He is an active user of social media.

Laurent Buffler

Legal Advice & Board Member

Mr Buffler is a barrister at law with more then 10 years of experience in commercial, acquisition law and contract law. He is a legal advisor of TaC and is interested in legal aspects of IP and the Domain Name System.

Dr. Jacqueline Igersheim

Research

Dr. Igersheim is a statistician and a professor of applied statistics at the University of Strasbourg. A former Vice-President of the University of Strasbourg, she has authored a number of scientific articles and quantitative surveys.

Patrick Attié

International Institute on Cybersecurity (I2C)

Director and co-founder of the École Supérieure d’Infotronique d’Haiti, a private Haitian higher education institution. Patrick Attié is also the co-founder of the first Caribbean virtual reality laboratory. He is Vice-President of the French Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Charles Perut

Work with Youth

Charles is a youth activist and active social media user, as well as a comedy actor. Charles helps TaC to implement youth activities and delivers training sessions for the young and their parents on safe and responsible use of the Internet.

  Our story

In 2008 we realised the need for civil society action in the fight against cybercrime, which has mostly resulted in the need to bring closer to end-users information on how to stay safe online while being citizen of the digital world.
TaC was founded in 2010 after a number of discussions and exchanges with Mr Gérard BECHT and Mr Gilberto MARTINS DE ALMEIDA.
In 2010 TaC started to develop its activities in research and awareness-raising at a local level to develop its hands-on experience and to stay close to end-users.
Today, TaC’s work ranges from the local to the international level. TaC tries to share with the international community the concerns of end-users and its accumulated hands-on experience. At the same time, TaC communicates the latest information from the international expert community to end-users during its awareness-raising and capacity-building activities.
